I’m not even remotely catholic, but this guy freaks me the hell out. Even aside from his military service for Nazi Germany, he comes off as dangerously right-wing.

They call him “God’s Rottwieler”, for pity’s sake!!

Well, I’ve heard my primary source of Catholic knowledge call him the Pope’s enforcer, and speculate that all us girls will be barefoot and pregnant (with our legally married in the eyes of God male husbands as the father) if he has his way. I’ve also heard a theory that they elected an old Pope, hoping he’ll pass on after a few years, giving them time to figure out what to do.

This guy is VERY conservative. It doesn’t look good for liberal Catholics like myself.
