Did you give me Quicksilver?
To whoever bought me Neal Stephenson’s Quicksilver off my Wish List these past holidays:
Thank you, but it’s apparently lost in shipping hell or something, and Amazon Customer Service has kindly told me to suck on it. They won’t reveal any information about the order or its status to anyone who is not the order placer, so, mysterious benefactor, if you could come forward, that would be pretty freaking awesome.

Perhaps it’s just the handiwork of a bored IT guy who randomly scratches things off people’s wishlists as bought and then watches the hilarity ensue.
Do you think they make bets on the number of emails one writes to them before giving up?
