I have steered clear of Nip/Tuck. It does seem like something that could catch my attention, but I just haven’t had the time to invest in getting into it. Likewise with “desperate housewives”.
Michael Chiklis does, indeed, rock very hard. The dude is so badass in The Shield!
Sergio, what you need to invest in is Tivo. It’s a modern marvel, and I don’t know how I ever lived without it. I work 50+ hours a week and carry 16 units at the local university, yet through the wonder that is Tivo, I’m able to keep up with all the TV I want (which is substantial) while still bringing home a paycheck and making the dean’s list every quarter so far.
BTW, “Desperate Housewives” is also fantastic, and I highly recommend “Lost” and “Alias,” the latter of which I just caught up with (three seasons) on DVD so I could start watching the current fourth season, which, of course, I’m Tivoing!
Yeah, I’ve wanted a tivo since they came out, but I’m not sure how useful they are without all the cable network integration (which we don’t have here in Mexico). Of course, it still retains the easy VCR appeal, and allows for live TV pause and everything, but it would lose much of the appeal, I think (no taste guessing, no automatic updating, etc.)
It may not even work… I should find out some about this.
And yeah, Alias is very nice. I’ve only catched a few episodes, but Jennifer Gardner is definitely up there with the Sean Connery James Bond in my book.
he he he… you guys should read what neil gaiman wrote about TIVO in hist post today.
“Watches TV so you don’t have to”. Brilliant!
Just keeping you up to speed on pop culture: That guy who used to be on “Charmed” is Julian McMahon, now to be seen starring in “Nip/Tuck,” one of the best television shows to come along in years. McMahon was even nominated for a Golden Globe for “N/T” this year, coincidentally in the same category as Michael Chiklis, who will be portraying Ben Grimm/The Thing in “F4.”
